Which calculator to choose for your task
Here are 13 free online tools for designing residential and commercial electrical wiring. All calculators comply with current standards: IEC 60364, IEC 60364 and IEC 60364. No registration, no limits.
🔌 Cable and Wiring Calculations
If you are planning new wiring or replacing a line, start with the cable cross-section calculator (selection by power and current, considering installation method). For long lines, be sure to check voltage drop (IEC 60364 standard: up to 5%). If working with American catalogs — AWG ↔ mm² converter.
⚡ Load, MCBs and protection
For a new panel, first do load calculation for an apartment or house — you will get recommended incoming supply and cable. Then for group circuits — MCB selection (B16 for sockets, C20 for boiler, C25 for electric stove) and RCD or RCBO selection (30 mA for wet areas, 10 mA for children's rooms). For three-phase panels — mandatory phase balance L1/L2/L3 (IEC 60364 standard — imbalance up to 15–20%).
💰 Tariffs, power and consumption
Want to calculate how much appliance operation costs — use electricity calculator 2026 (current tariff — 4.32 UAH/kWh, extended until 31.10.2026). If you need to convert power to current or vice versa — amps ↔ kilowatts converter (1ph, 3ph, DC, with cos φ).
📐 Reference books and standards
For verification during installation: wire colors (phase, neutral, earth per IEC 60446 and IEC), IP protection ratings (IP20, IP44, IP54, IP65 — which to choose for bathroom, outdoors, panel), illuminance calculator (according to IEC 60364) and label generator for panel (print labels for DIN rail).
For complete electrical panel design, use ElectroBoard — a visual constructor with 22 types of modular devices, drag & drop placement, automatic validation per IEC 60364, real-time load calculation, and PDF export. Free, no registration required.
