Account & Cloud
An ElectroBoard account is required to use the panel designer. Your projects are stored in the cloud and sync automatically across your devices.
Sign Up and Sign In
There are two ways to sign in:
- Email and password — click Start in the header to register, or Sign in if you already have an account.
- Google — the Continue with Google button in the sign-in dialog.
Password requirements when registering: at least 6 characters, with at least one digit and one uppercase letter. You must also accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
If your email address is rejected, the service validates the email domain against a list of known providers. Use a different email or sign in with Google.
Forgot your password? In the sign-in dialog click Forgot password — a recovery email will be sent to your address.
The designer (
/board) and settings (/settings) are available only after signing in.
Account Settings
Open settings from the account menu (avatar in the header) → Settings. Two tabs:
Profile:
- Email — shown, cannot be changed
- Name — your display name, editable
- Change password — new password (minimum 8 characters)
- Newsletter — turn update emails on or off
Subscription: a free plan with the full designer feature set is currently available. The ElectroBoard PRO tier is marked coming soon.
My Projects
The project list opens in the Select or create a project dialog — automatically when you enter the designer without a project selected, and via the toolbar button and the My panels menu item.
What you can do with projects:
- Create — a new project with a chosen network preset and (optionally) a panel template
- Open — click a project to open it in the editor
- Rename — directly in the list or in the project-name field in the editor toolbar
- Delete — the trash icon next to a project, with confirmation (deleted permanently)
One project = one panel.
Autosave
ElectroBoard saves changes automatically — there is no separate Save button. Saving fires about 2.5 seconds after your last change, and immediately when you confirm dialogs or close the tab.
The save state is shown by a colored dot in the toolbar:
- 🟢 green — saved, all changes synced
- 🟡 amber (pulsing) — saving in progress
- 🔴 red — save error
A separate dot indicates a lost connection.
Cloud Sync
ElectroBoard is offline-first: changes are written locally first (instantly, no internet needed), then uploaded to the cloud. So the editor never stalls without a connection and your data is not lost.
Across devices. Projects are tied to your account — sign in on another device and you will see and open the same projects. For more on offline behavior, see Offline Mode.
Moving local projects. If a device still has projects created before you signed in, a migration dialog appears on your first sign-in — choose which projects to keep in the cloud. Migration is safe: originals are not deleted, and on a name clash an " (import)" marker is added.
Version conflict. If the same panel was edited on two devices, ElectroBoard does not silently overwrite your changes — a Panel changed on another device dialog appears with a choice: Take from the other device or Keep my version. Until you choose, the editor stays usable and keeps saving locally — only the cloud upload is paused.
Backup File (.eboard)
Besides the cloud, a project can be saved to an .eboard file (export button in the toolbar) and reopened later (import). This is useful for:
- a local backup outside the cloud
- transferring a panel to a colleague or another account
An .eboard file is a self-contained copy of the panel, independent of cloud sync.
